In 2014, İpek and Doğu Çankaya bought an almost demolished, tiny stone house with a small garden in central Bodrum, Muğla - Turkey. Following the bureaucratic process of restoration which took nearly three years, the space re-emerged in 2017 as a surviving landmark in the Aegean / Mediterranean landscape. Although not known for certain the house was estimated to be around two centuries old. Since 2019, it is a quietly considered spot for art making, curatorial and academic practice and research.
