Conceptualized and Co-Curated by İpek Çankaya
Seeds of Art is a multi-year outdoor art event named and conceptualized by İpek Çankaya in 2023. The project that takes inspiration from nature has as venue a farm located in Bodrum Çamarası. The project considers the artworks to be placed on the farm land as seeds of art planted in nature. The aim of the project is to ensure that the artworks made to be exhibited in the pine forest meet with the audience in the long-term, to open space for contemporary authentic works and installations outside of the monumental sculpture making perspective, and to develop nature-friendly artistic practices. The Seeds of Art event series takes place once a year. Even though the event celebration is for a single day, the works remain on the land as long as the natural conditions and business owners allow. Artwork production processes begin weeks in advance and are completed by working both in artist studios and in the field. Seeds of Art invites visual artists to work under a new title to be determined each year. The curatorial perspective of the project accepts art as a natural part of life and production. Accordingly, productions using materials and techniques compatible with nature are supported.

In the country of Who/Would/Ever/Want/To/Hurt/You/
It is you and I and not too many
Would become the voices of this story
“How would the pieces come together?
Only by writıng about the journey.
Today be it a fresh start or a new phase
wıth a back and forth ın the memory and soul
while everything is stıll in a magıcal order…
